Topic 3: Relationship of the IPPC to Other International Agreements and Organizations
The IPPC has a complementary relationship or overlapping mandates with other international agreements and conventions, including the WTO-SPS Agreement, the Convention on Biological Diversity, and the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety. It also has a special relationship with United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (UN/FAO). The IPPC collaborates with these entities to achieve its plant protection goals.
